Volunteers are needed to make lasting impressions...

Mentor
Serve as a role model one hour per week working one-on-one with a middleschool student creating a positive influence with compassion and encouragement.

Tutor
Assist middle school students in their academic area of need in a small group session one hour a week.

Guest Speaker
Deliver a special program presentation on campus to a student audience on a topic of your expertise.

Special Event Volunteer
Donate your time and energy in assisting in one of our community events.

Endurance

Currently, 24 Hope, Inc., provides continuous educational programs that will assist in developing an individual academically and personally and build strong community leaders.  The core of our program is to promote healthy schools and home environments that maximize student success.

Endurance

We have partnered with the Midlothian ISD to offer students, Endurance, an afterschool tutoring and mentoring program.  This is a free program designed to enrich the lives of young people.

Our community-based program includes:

Tutoring in all core subjects
Rap Sessions that seek to find solutions to the needs of problematic students
Presentations addressing sexual abstinence, school dropout, substance abuse, and anger management
Athletic and Recreational Activities that build a healthy mind, body, and spirit
Annual Back-to-School Youth Rally that will bring students entertainment promoting a drug-free and stay-in-school message
Mentoring that offers an array of activities which build resilience for overcoming adversities while promoting a sense of belonging and bonding among families, communities, and peers
Youth Outreach Center that serves as a neighborhood hub for a variety of social and entertainment activities for young people
School Supply Give-Away that will give the student the much needed educational materials and support they need to focus on school

FAQs

Does my child qualify for this free program?

Students must want to participate in the program as it is strictly voluntary.

How do I register my child for Endurance?

Parents are encouraged to stop by the main office at Walnut Grove Middle School to pick up a registration packet.

What should my child expect when he/she participates in the Endurance program?

Students will participate in many games and events that encourage team work, character development, and leadership skills.  Students will also be encouraged academically by one-on-one tutoring, homework help, and follow-ups.

How much does it cost?

This is a FREE program. Endurance is funded by individual partners and sponsorships.

Will Endurance provide transportation for my child to and from events?

No.  Parents/guardians are responsible for providing transportation.
